Watson Library Quilters Meet August 2nd, 2008
9:00am - 12:00pm
The Watson Library Quilters are off to a great start! Their
current project is five lap quilts for nursing home residents.
The quilters meet every other Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm;
you do not have to come to every meeting to be part of the group.
Their next meeting is Saturday, August 2nd.
August will be devoted to our personal quilting projects. If
you have any questions or would like to get involved, please

Computer Classes in August
The Watson Branch Library offers beginning computer classes
on the following topics: Computer Basics, Internet, Email, and
Microsoft Word. Registration is required as space is limited.

Bayou Shimmy Belly Dance Performance &
Workshop
Come to the Watson Branch Library on Saturday, August 16th at
2:00pm for a special treat! The Bayou Shimmy Dance studio will
perform the exotic art of belly dancing and will stay after
the performance to give you a short workshop on shimmying. This
program is free and for all ages.

Watson Branch Library, Brown Baggers Dinner Book Club
Meets Tuesday, August 19th.
Note that we have changed our regular meeting date and time
to the third Tuesday of the month from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Please
bring your dinner with you, or pick up something on your way
to the library! We will begin eating at 5:30pm; discussion will
start at 6:00pm. Since August is known for its heat, our August
book is Hot Stuff by Carly Phillips. Pick up at copy at our

Breaking Dawn Book Discussion, August 21st, 6:00pm -
7:30pm
The Watson Branch Library will host a book discussion on Breaking
Dawn, the latest teen release from author Stephenie Meyer, on
August 21st, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. We will discuss both this
latest release and the Twilight series as a whole.
In addition there will be Twilight trivia to answer and we will
play pin the tail on the werewolf! Call 225-664-3963 to register
