Don "Donnie" Richard Rawls

Don "Donnie" Richard Rawls, 30, of Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday, August 22,2007 at Ochsner of Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, LAdue to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Donnie worked for many years as an automotive technician, most recently with Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge. He was a lover of animals, but always held a special place for his dogs. Donnie also raced in several areas, including 4-wheelers where he held the world speed record for 300ft at 3.24 seconds ET. He helped design and build this 4-wheeler down to the paint and with the record, was classified as "the fastest 4-wheeler on earth". He was a loving husband, son, grandson, brother, and especially uncle. He poured his heart into his nephew, Trenton. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 10 a.m. to service at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Mark Crosby. Burial will be at Live Oak Methodist Church Cemetery, in Denham Springs, LA. He is survived by his wife, Christy Gautreaux Rawls; parents, Harold R. and Pam Lloyd Rawls, Jr.; sister, Kimberly Rawls Craig, of Livingston Parish; nephew, Trent Craig; maternal grandparents, William and Shirley Lloyd; paternal grandparents, Harold and Betty Rawls, Sr.; aunts and uncles, Amy and Steven Carver and Kenny Rawls, Linda Stone, Bill Lloyd, Sherry and Scott Strain; cousins, Christopher Carver and wife, Vida, and Jonathan Carver; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Alyson Gautreaux; brother-in-law, Ben Gautreaux and wife, Brittney; sister-in-law, Natalie Litton and husband, Wayne.
