Charles Lathan Sutton

Charles Lathan Sutton passed away Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 at Hospice of
Baton Rouge Inpatient Unit in Baton Rouge, LA. at the age of 77. He was a long
time resident of Denham Springs, retired from Kaiser Aluminum and a long time
member and deacon of Amite Baptist Church where he faithfully served his LORD.
Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Thursday, December
6, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume at Amite Baptist Church
in Denham Springs on Friday December 7, 2007 from 9:00 AM until religious service
at 11:00 AM, conducted by the Rev. Terry Booth and the Rev. Louis Redden. Interment
in Amite Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Roubique Redden Sutton; one daughter, Karen and husband Scott Posey; four sons, Bart and wife Katina Sutton, Scott and wife Jenelle Sutton, Louis and wife Vivian Redden, Jr.and Bobby Redden; one sister, Beverly and husband Chick Barnett; two brothers, Milton and wife Betty Sutton, Richard and wife Gay Sutton; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda Sutton, Lindsay Edling, Dalton Samson, Nicole Sutton, Garrett Sutton, Leslie Wascom, Louis T. Redden, III, Kandise Smith, Beau Redden, Jennie West, Whitney Redden, Jeffrey Posey, Katie Posey; 13 greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents,Harry Brown and Winnie Belle Hayman Sutton; first wife, Dolores Manchester Sutton; and brothers, Percy Sutton and A.E. Sutton.
His grandsons,
Rice Sutton and Ricky Miller will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers
are Don Kennedy, Ralph Perkins, Gene Quirk, Melton Sharp, H.O. McMorris, Percy
Sanders, Huey Stafford and all deacons of Amite Baptist Church
